An extra insurance option which I paid for in advance, was deemed inadequate and useless by the car rental company (Okmobility) who refused to let me take the car without paying their own, extra insurance. Carrental8 could not be contacted until the next day and have so far given no real help.
They told me to go back to the airport and insist on a refund, but I was by that stage a good distance away and had little hope of getting my money back and keeping the car.

I'm having trouble getting a refund...I emailed them 3 days ago yet no response..now she's saying it has to be escalated to a manager because it's passed when I booked...not my fault I wasn't able to rent a car from the airport because I needed a flight number

It took more than 15 minutes to reach an agent. They repeatedly refused to honor their promo code. I asked to speak to a manager. The rep put me on hold 4 times for extended periods of time hoping that I would hang up. I was persistent on principle. He finally honored the promo code. It took more than 30 minutes for this to be accomplished. Terrible customer service.
